The Lunar New Year has arrived, symbolizing longevity, peace and prosperity. Many products from global cosmetic companies are celebrating the new year. Following the growth of online reality and metaverse events over the past year, some brands have decided to celebrate the occasion with NFT cosmetic products and art toys in different categories. Others specialize in traditional cosmetics adorned with beautiful Chinese-style prints. Here is BeautyMatter’s curated list of notable launches related to the Year of the Rabbit:

The set was created in collaboration with Lala Curio, a home decor brand that “resurrects vintage crafts for modern, timeless interiors” with a focus on hand-painted and Chinese-inspired embroidery. It is available in two sizes, both equipped with a chip that allows consumers to scan their left foot and detect NFTs. The product has a removable backpack with a ceramic label scented with the popular Creed Silver Mountain Water fragrance. The toy will appear in physical stores around the world as a 3D video, as well as in virtual worlds along with other popular characters in China.
Maybelline New York x Lune Zhang: The cosmetics company has teamed up with French-Chinese artist Lune Zhang for a campaign featuring the artist Namito, a bunny that represents “a spirit that yearns for freedom and happiness.” Namito wore a bright red polka dot dress and sported a matching red bob hairstyle with large white ears that stuck out at the back, embellished with bright red matte ink packaging in the three limited edition Fitme Flush Tint, Hypersharp Extreme Liner and Superstay.

The entire collection is housed in a heart-shaped box featuring Hello Kitty wearing a bunny tiara and a signature bow on her left ear.
