Woman cheated on insanely expensive Christmas tree ‘collar’ for just $10

Saw something in the store that you absolutely would love to have in your home, but then were struck by the price? This has happened to us… more than once. But luckily, if you’re willing, there’s usually a way that involves reproducing all sorts of things, including decorations like the Christmas tree “collars” created by Micah from the MakeItWithMicah TikTok channel!
This Christmas scam is the best we’ve ever seen and the easiest. What’s more, it will cost you less than $10 for something you would have to spend over $100 on!
First, you need to go to your local dollar store or big store and buy two items – a white laundry basket and some thick woven yarn for the blanket. You’ll also need hot glue to glue everything together (trust us, it makes things easier!)
Take your laundry basket, turn it upside down, carefully cut off the bottom of the basket and make a slit in the back so the rings can be opened up and placed around the bottom of the tree. You will also need to cut off the bottom edge of the basket, but you can always leave it on if you think it won’t make it too “basket”.
Start with a vertical line and apply a layer of hot glue from top to bottom, then place the yarn on top, holding it in place until the glue cools and sets. Now thread the quilt yarn horizontally through the slats from top to bottom until you reach the starting point again where you will use more hot glue to hold it in place. Continue doing this around, top and bottom of the basket for a perfectly woven look.
That’s all! For less than ten dollars, you can make a beautiful collar for your Christmas tree! (You can thank us later!)
